So many thoughtful touches added up to make this 1 night stay feel so special and relaxing! We were there for a last minute short ski weekend and had a great evening after our ski day. Everything in Packwood is within walking distance and it was so lovely to unwind in the common space by the fire at night. The room we were in was so quiet and everything was clean and cozy. Rooms are a bit small, but we pack light so it wasn't a problem at all for us! There's a communal fridge and a toaster oven that I didn't know about until after we got there--would make for an easy bagel breakfast in the morning if you're in a hurry! We will definitely be back!!

I personally prefer staying in historic hotels, and this one does not disappoint. The building is in excellent shape and well cared for. The rooms are beautifully decorated and warm in winter; the downstairs woodstove is a great touch. The beds are luxurious and the showers hot with great water pressure. In the morning, the dining room area has wonderful coffee; I particularly enjoyed reading in the "library nook" with my coffee. The hot tub was clean and comfortable, and the location is within walking distance of all the restaurants of Packwood. It is a minimally staffed hotel, which I actually enjoyed as it provided a quiet, low-key experience, and the security was still quality.

We spent two nights staying at Historic Hotel Packwood! What a lovely and charming stay. We were so impressed by the quality of service and attentiveness of the owner. We checked in and were surprised with chocolates on our bed and a binder with information about our stay and things to do in the area. Everything in the kitchenette was fully stocked and clean. The main area was so cozy with the wood stove burning! We really enjoyed the hot tub after skiing all day at White Pass. We will 100% be returning (hopefully soon!). My new favorite spot.

We had a lovely weekend stay at the Hotel Packwood! Our room and property was spotless, and so well decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfortable! The location was perfect and walking distance to our favorite downtown spots (The Mountain Goat, Blue Spruce and Packwood Brewery). We already booked our next stay and are looking forward to having this be our go-to spot for ski trips to White Pass.

This place was simply delightful. A 1912 building fixed up with all the charm, love, and care that you would expect. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and the beds super comfortable. (Some rooms have shared bathrooms. Some have their own.) We didn't expect there to be a hot tub, so it was a nice surprise after skiing all day. The covered porch would be wonderful for sitting out on a nice day. Walk to coffee. Walk to the brewery. Walk to the grocery store. We enjoyed hanging in the living area. Peaceful and cozy. The host was super responsive and everything from booking, to self-check in, to amenities and check out we're seamless. Will definitely stay again.

We spent two nights at this historic hotel in the tiny town of Packwood, and it was such a lovely experience. The online reservation process was quick and easy, and the communication leading up to our stay was incredibly thorough. Self check‑in was a breeze. Walking into the hotel felt so inviting—Christmas music playing, a cozy fire in the fireplace, and that warm, old‑fashioned charm you can’t fake. Our room was exactly what we expected, and the bed was very comfortable. We really appreciated the little conveniences: coffee and tea available in the dining area, plus access to a microwave, toaster, and even a full‑size refrigerator for storing food. We didn’t have time to use the hot tub, but it looked spotless and very relaxing. The hotel is walking distance to everything in town - food, groceries, visitor center and a few shops. The only thing to note—part of the charm of an older building—is that you can hear doors opening and closing throughout the night, especially since some rooms use shared hallway bathrooms. Light sleepers might notice this, though the hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs and a white noise machine in each room. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would happily recommend this hotel to any adult visiting the area. (Guests must be 18+.)

Beautiful, peaceful and so comfortable. We were spoiled with accommodations in the Sunrise Peak Trail room outside the new hot tub area, to make a Valentines weekend in this mountain town even sweeter. Thanks to the Historic Hotel Packwood for being an absolute staple in east lewis county, to everyone passing through or indulging in all the p.n.w. has to offer around these mountains. Every stay/ room is unique, and nostalgic, with welcoming, friendly ownership and cozy rooms. It's like stepping back in time, while stepping up in quality. Thanks again!

I cannot rave about this place enough! It is so incredibly charming. The attention to detail all throughout the hotel is top notch. This stay will be have been our third year coming here and it won’t be our last. We haven’t been in the summer, just the winter and we are looking forward to some day seeing it in all its summer splendor. It’s in an awesome spot. Across the street is a great coffee place, if you want something more than the thoughtful coffee supplied by the hotel. It’s minutes from Packwood Brewery, which is a great place to hang out. And there are walking trails not far. It’s also a gorgeous 25-30 minute drive to White Pass. And lastly, the owner is absolutely wonderful!! Accommodating and friendly. She’s done such an amazing at making a very welcoming space. They’ve added a hot tub in the back, which is really well done up too.
